our story
born and raised in zimbabwe by her shona father and mixed ndebele & shona mother, yeukai founded kindled in march of 2022.
what started off as yeukai bringing to life her passion for africa and artistry has evolved into a small family run business.
through kindled’s designs, yeukai pays homage to her late grandmother’s admiration for the traditional art of “kuumba hari” [to mould claypots].
each kindled collection depicts a confluence of african artistry and contemporary design.
with every creation delicately handcrafted in the studio, your kindled piece is unique to itself and a depiction of african culture, tradition and artistry.
